Welcome to Making Tracks Therapy in Wilsden, West Yorkshire & online

Your journey. Your pace. Your growth.

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Making Tracks Therapy. My name is Rob Rhoades and I am a counsellor providing both short- and long-term therapy to adult individuals in Wilsden, West Yorkshire & online

My Journey Into Counselling

I am a qualified mental health counsellor, holding a level 4 diploma in therapeutic counselling, and I bring a human and friendly approach to my sessions for my clients. I have explored my own path through mental health therapy and found the feeling not only life changing but unique to any other experience. This filled me with a passion to help others feel the same way I did, hence here I am today.

My Therapeutic Approach

As your counsellor, it is my job to hold a safe, warm, and non-judgemental space for you so that you can begin to explore your mind and discuss any issues that you wish to explore during your sessions. I will be there beside you as you begin to unravel your own mind. There is never any pressure from me to go at anything other than your pace during our sessions, and never fear repetition over an issue because some problems take multiple sessions to process fully and move on from.

My counselling work is very humanistic and informal. I strive to let the therapy do its work in the background, indeed some of my clients haven't even realised they've been doing work on themselves until we point it out to ourselves. That to me is proper therapeutic work. This benefits you greatly because not only will you make progress on your therapy journey at your pace, you will feel in control of your sessions and as they progress there is a very good chance you will begin to enjoy them and look forward to them. Therapy is very simple if we get it right by working on it together, regardless of how deep or traumatic any issue may seem at first glance.
